Hopeful blossoms in January

365 Project day #2-

I love that we've wintered over these geraniums for the last 3 years- seeing pink blossoms on a very cold January day is so delightful. May something green and growing inspire you...

Beauty is all around

Last week I spent 4 days in New Orleans at PartnerCon, a photography conference. On Thursday AM I got up early to experience this city at first light. It was amazing. Here is just a glimpse of the beauty that is all around ---

Food for thought!

“We should, all of us, be filled with gratitude and humility for our present progress and prosperity. We should be filled with awe and joy at what lies over the horizon. And we should be filled with absolute determination to make the most of it.” Bill Clinton (photo from SWA flight home from NOLA last week)

Spectacular NOVEMBER day!

These days don't happen often. Back-to-back beautiful days on a weekend no less in November. What better way to spend it than outdoors with a wonderful family. Meet Declan and Chloe. We got to jump, pretend we were all sorts of animals, and giggle too - Life is good!

Falling in --- Love!

Today was a great day for a walk through the park with Elizabeth and Stephan. The leaves were so colorful and the crowds were down - The quiet of this big city amazes me at times. The only real sounds were of this couples laughter. After talking awhile - we all agreed that a key to a successful marriage is laughing. I am sure Elizabeth and Stephan will be quite successful!

Oh What A Night!

Mayor Daley and several other area Mayors celebrated Jersey Boy's 2nd Anniversary in Chicago last night. As to be expected, the show was fantastic. There was a special shout out at the end with the cast celebrating our fair city with My Kind of Town.

Giggles - and a pink Pig!

I never knew what kind of giggles a knit pink pig could get until today. It was a delight to spend the afternoon with Miss Julia and her parents. We made use of both studio and outdoor locations for their session. Once outside we just couldn't find piggy anymore and realized that he must have stayed back to watch over the studio. What a hard working piggy!
